Annual Report

Dear Friends & Well Wishers

It is with great pleasure, I place before you the 64th Annual Report of this institution.

Dr.S.Ananth Reddy, Chief Administrator, SRH received Dr.Jal Mehta Oration at the 31st Biennial Conference of the IAL for his service to the people affected by Leprosy.

Jeffrey Gentleman from The New York Times visited and published an article in “The New York Times” on 26th Jan 2022 about the services being provided by SRH for creating awareness to the world that the leprosy still exist. Many people were inspired by the article and contacted SRH to provide financial support, and others promised to extend a helping hand in the future. 

The expansion work at Ramdevrao Hospital, is nearing completion. We hope to inaugurate the new departments by the end of October 2022.

Construction of the Nursing College is in full swing.  We are hoping to get it completed by early next year so that we can admit the first batch of students in the next academic year 2023.

SIPCC (Sivananda IMPACT Pediatric Cancer Centre) is actively running under the IMPACT Management since June 2021 in the space provided by SRH.  Children suffering with Cancer are being looked after by providing medical and palliative care.

Chaitanya Memorial Educational Society has been supporting SRH continuously and this year came forward to provide financial support for constructing the extension block of Ramdevrao Hospital.

Amara Foundation came forward and discussions are going on for running the existing Home for the elderly people under their Management on SRH Campus.

Helping Hand Foundation has been supporting SRH by providing financial donations for running the SPCC (Sivananda Palliative Care Centre) for providing medical care to the people affected by HIV/AIDS and suffering from opportunistic infections and co-infected with Tuberculosis.  HHF has been actively participating in this activity since its inception.

TFL Quinn India Pvt Ltd. has been supporting our activities for many years and are currently supporting Nutritional food to the people affected with leprosy.  We are grateful to their Management for the helping hand. 

Mr.& Mrs.Paul de Wit have been kind enough to donate funds to SRH over a long period of time, in support of our activities. Their donations have been used to improve the living conditions by building dormitory accommodation for the inmates and our appreciation to them for their continuous support.

With the support of the regular donors like Veljan Denison Ltd., Vasudha Pharma Chem Limited, Shodhana Laboratories Ltd, Sai Nukalapati Charitable Foundation, AVEVA Information Technology India Pvt. Ltd., Guirdham Trust for India, Helping Hands of Rotary Trust, Sivananda Center Hyderabad (USA) and many other donors, SRH has been successful in carrying out the services.

The Novartis project “Leprosy Skin Lesion Detection” was completed with the support of Sivananda Rehabilitation Home and necessary steps will be taken for submitting to the Indian Journal of Leprosy for publishing the same.

As in the past, we have benefitted from the generosity of many of our well wishers and I would like to thank them for the donations & help that they have provided to SRH over the years. The German Leprosy Relief Association,  The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, The State TB Control Society has made substantial contributions to our efforts for which we are grateful. We thank the Sisters of the Nirmala Dasikal Congregation for their continuing dedication and selfless service.

I would also like to thank our doctors and other staff members for their dedication and hard work which has made SRH what it is.
