Mr. & Mrs.Paul de Wit, Pavlos Culture-Adventures Foundation, Nederland accompanied by a group of members visited on his annual visit. On his return home, he transferred 18000 Euros for the welfare of the people affected by leprosy.

Ms.Michaela Roch, Official from Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Chennai visited to see the purchased equipment and renovation work done for which Funds were released by the Consulate. She interacted with the people affected by leprosy and she was explained how the steam cooking system and the renovated kitchen are going to be helpful in providing food to the patients in hygienic environment.

Hyderabad Race Club Eye Centre was inaugurated on 16th November 2016 by Honble Governor of Telangana & A.P. Shri E.S.L.Narsimhan who was the Chief Guest. Shri.CH.Malla Reddy (MP), Shri Madhavaram Krishna Rao (MLA), Mr.J.Vikramdev Rao, Honorary Secretary, Sivananda Rehabilitation Home & Mrs. Kavya Reddy (GHMC Corporator), KPHB were the special Invitees to the Programme. HRC,Hyderabad in collaboration with this institution established HRCEC. The objective of this Centre is to provide Eye Care facility to the poor and socially backward sections of the Society either at free of cost or at substantially subsidized cost.

Ms. Sonja Becker & Mr. Patrick Miesen, Vice President, DAHW-GLRA, Germany visited and interacted with the people affected by leprosy and observed the leprosy and tuberculosis activities carried by this institution. They appreciated the work going on and assured that the DAHW, Germany will do the best to support SRH and maintain the long friendship between SRH and DAHW.

Mr.Wolfgang M'ller, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Chennai visited SRH and assured to help SRH under Small Scale Project. Accordingly, SRH received funds for purchase of Steam Cooking system and for Renovation of Common Kitchen where we cook food for the Referral Hospital Ward Patients and for disabled, sick and aged people affected by leprosy residing on the campus. This has been a great help to this institution.

Medical Officer & Physiotherapists of SRH attended the "Midterm Conference of IAL" held at the Gandhi Medical College Auditorium, Hyderabad. The theme of the conference was "New challenges and strategies in changing scenario of leprosy" where they presented a scientific paper.

Mr.Paul de Wit from Netherlands accompanied by his wife and other visitors e visited this institution as in the previous years. One of these donors Mr.Sjir Rikers donated 100 Euros for Children of the Home.

Golden Jubilee of Dr.August Otto Beine was celebrated at SRH as he completed 50 yrs. of service in India in the field of Leprosy treatment as a Surgeon. Mr.J.Vikramdev Rao, Honorary Secretary, SRH honoured Dr.August Beine for his selfless service.

Mr. Paul De Wit, of the Netherlands, who has been a regular visitor and contributor to SRH since 2010 visited SRH along with other members and went round to see all the activities run by this institution; he made a donation of 5000 to SRH.

Dr. S. Ananth Reddy, Dy. CMO presented Oral & E-Poster of Scientific Papers at the 18th International Leprosy Congress 2013 (ILC 2013 Brussels) held at Belgium. Dr. August Otto Beine (CMO), Dr. S. Ananth Reddy (Dy.CMO), Mr. K. Ganapathy (Chief Physio.) & Mr. P. Purushotham Rao (Physio) were the authors of the presented Papers. The scientific papers presented at ILC 2013 Brussels are:
- Modification of the surgical correction of lumbrical replacement - a long term follow up.
- Extensor pollicis brevis deviation graft for correction of z deformity in low ulnar palsy.
- Restoration of opposition of the thumb by flexor carpi ulnaris transfer in case of low median paralysis

Inauguration of the Kumudini Devi Hospice, by Pain Relief & Palliative Care Society. In April 2013, PRPCS - MNJ Institute of Oncology & Regional Cancer Centre, Hyderabad (Pain Relief & Palliative Care Society) and SRH signed a Memorandum of Understanding for running the PRPCS project on the premises of SRH.

At an Investiture Ceremony arranged by the German Embassy on the SRH campus in Hyderabad, H.E. the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Michael Steiner bestowed the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany upon Dr. August Otto Beine, Chief Medical Officer, SRH.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Steiner said, ''It is a distinguished honour for me to award the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany to you, Dr. Beine. This is one of the highest awards of Germany and only few receive it. People, who excel in their contribution to the society. Your destiny brought you from Dortmund, Germany, to Hyderabad, India. You asked to receive the award in your home, the place where you belong: the Sivananda Rehabilitation Home. I am humbled to be guest at your home, the rehabilitation home you helped shaping and expanding over the past decades............ Deep in our heart we all would wish to be able to serve the society in such a dedicated manner as you do. But if we are honest, we'd admit, we aren't able to do it. Like you. Lifelong work. On the grass root level, under most dire circumstances........You both embarrass and encourage us. You embarrass us because we don't match your dedication. You encourage us because you are the proof that livelong dedication if possible. It is now my honour, to whole heartedly bestow upon you, Dr. August Beine, on behalf of the Federal President of Germany, the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.''

The Adult Care and Support was closed down as the National Aids Control Organisation (NACO) has decide to stop all funding to HIV AIDs projects in the country. The project was opened in April 2006 and has catered to over 8500 Out Patients and 3500 In Patients over the last seven years. Funding for the Children's Care & Support Home has also been withdrawn, but SRH has decided to continue running the Home. An Appeal for donations has been sent out and the response has been favourable. We thank all the people who have generously supported this initiative. We continue to look for funding and have applied to various agencies for grants.

SRH has provided 700 garbage Rickshaws to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation over the last year.

Mr.Burkard K'mm, CEO and Ms.Gudrun Widersperg from Deutsche Lepra-und Tuberkulosehilfe Project Department GLRA, Wuerzburg, Germany accompanied by GLRA-India officials, Mr.J.Ravichandran, CEO and Dr.Srinivasan visited to see inspect the leprosy & tuberculosis programme carried out by SRH successfully with their financial support and other activities carried out by the SRH. Ms. N. P. Sen, Mr.J.Vikramdev Rao & Ms. Meera Rao received the visitors. They were highly impressed by the work.
2013 February 12
A group of four young women from the UK, Joicy Jeffery, Jasmine Pitt, Bibsi Haywill and Zoe Kennedy, spent time at the Children's home, teaching them art and story writing. They organized an animation workshop for 8 talented and artistically inclined children. Two short animated films made by these children were screened for a very appreciative audience comprising the staff and children of SRH.

Ms.Katherine Dhanani, the US. Consulate General, Hyderabad visited SRH and was impressed by the work done here. She wrote?. '' how one family has chosen to give hope, dignity and a better life to those who are affected by stigmatized diseases. A great example to all of us.''

To commemorate the birth centenary of the Founder, Rani Kumudini Devi, the new Out Patient Block of the Ramdevrao Hospital was inaugurated by Mr. Krishna Babu, IAS, Commisioner, GHMC. On 23 January 2011, Dr. P. V. Ramesh, IAS, Chief Secretary Health, Government of Andhra Pradesh, had laid the Foundation Stone for the new Block.
The not-for profit hospital has been upgraded to a 70 beds facility. It has 3 fully equipped Operation Theaters, an ICU, Paediatric ICU, NICU, Digital X-Ray, Laboratory, Sonography, Dental Surgery, Physiotherapy etc. A 12 Bed Dialysis Unit is being run by the Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Relief Foundation Trust. Dialysis is being provided at a subsidized rate of Rs. 400/-.
