Physiotherapy is very important in both non-surgical and surgical patients. In non-surgical patients the main aim is to prevent or reduce complication, deformity and disability in the body through physical therapy. A leprosy patient generally suffers from anesthesia of parts and damages those parts due to ignorance. Hence, instructions to patients are given regarding their anesthesia hands, feet, and eyes wounds and also about neuritis and prevention of deformity.

Post- operative physiotherapy to get the patient to use the improvement made possible by surgery, and to take care of himself in the future.
