Dear Friends & Well Wishers,

It is with great pleasure that I place before you the 56th Annual Report of this institution. This report covers the period 1st April 2013 to 31st March 2014.

In view of the increased utilization of the hospital it was felt necessary to further expand the hospital and permission for construction of two more floors above the Out Patient Block was received and construction will take place during 2014-2015. The Trustees of the Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Dialysis Foundation Trust have requested us for additional space so that they could accommodate 26 dialysis beds. It is proposed to assign them about 4500 sft in the first floor which is to be constructed. We have also been registered under the Arogyasri programme which enable us to admit persons who are entitled to treatment under the scheme. We have also applied for registration under EHS which would enable government employees to receive treatment under at our Hospital. We are also conducting free clinics in the localities nearby for the benefit of the poorer sections.

The Pain Relief and Palliative Care Society are continuing to run the KUMUDINI DEVI HOSPICE. During the year a decision was taken to close down the Childrens Home as well and the children have been transferred to the Karunalayam orphanage at Warangal which we found was a well run centre also providing vocational training for children under their care.

As in past years we have benefitted from the generosity of many of our well wishers and I would like to thank them for the donations & help that they have provided to SRH over the past year. The German Leprosy Relief Association, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, The State TB Control Society have made substantial contributions to our efforts for which we are extremely grateful. We thank Dr. August Beine and The Sisters of the Nirmala Dasikal Congregation for their continuing dedication and selfless service.

My grateful thanks to Shri Birad Yagnik and his team at Visual Quest for continuing to maintain and host our website, to Shrimati Rekha Sekhri for updating our website, to Shrimati Chitra Reddy for bringing out our Newsletter.

I would also like to thank all our doctors and other staff members for their dedication & hard work which has made SRH what it is.
